Senator Saliu Mustapha, representing Kwara Central, has mourned the death of Oba Yusuf Omokanye Oyekanmi, the Elemona of Ilemona, who died on Saturday at the age of 95.
The senator described Oba Oyekanmi’s death as a great loss not only to the people of Ilemona but to the entire Kwara State. He noted that the late monarch was a respected leader whose wisdom and dedication to his community will be deeply missed.
Senator Mustapha commiserated with the bereaved family, especially Colonel Nurudeen Yusuf, the Aide-de-Camp (ADC), to the President, Hon. Toye Yusuf, the lawmaker representing Odo Ogun constituency, and the entire people of Ilemona community for the irreplaceable loss.
He prayed for the repose of the deceased’s soul, asking Almighty God to grant him eternal rest and give the family the fortitude to bear this great loss.
