The Turaki of Ilorin Emirate and Senator representing representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, Senator Saliu Mustapha, has congratulated a renowned statesman and historian, Alhaji L’Aziz K. Jimoh, on the occasion of his 85th birthday anniversary.
Senator Mustapha, in a heartfelt message described Alhaji LAK Jimoh as a monumental figure and one of the finest living custodians of Ilorin’s history and heritage.
He noted that the elder statesman has, for decades, served as a repository of Ilorin’s history, ensuring that the Emirate’s cultural identity, values, and historical memory are preserved for posterity.
Senator Mustapha said Alhaji LAK Jimoh has been a huge source of inspiration to generations — a father, a mentor, and a guiding light to countless sons and daughters of the Ilorin Emirate. He added that personalities like him are rare and his contributions to society will remain indelible across time.
For himself and on behalf of the good people of Kwara Central, Senator Mustapha expressed profound appreciation to Alhaji LAK Jimoh for his immense inspiration, selfless service, and unrivaled commitment to the progress of the Emirate and Kwara State as a whole.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to bless the elder statesman with more years in sound health, strength, and fulfilment as he continues to serve Ilorin, Kwara, and Nigeria.
