Medical Outreach Programme for Rural Settlements Across Kwara Central

A four-day medical outreach organized by Senator Saliu Mustapha in collaboration with the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Budo Egba, bringing much-needed healthcare services to residents of Kwara Central Senatorial District.

The outreach, which kicked off at the Oke Oyi main market in Ilorin East, provided free healthcare services at strategic locations across the four local government areas in the district. The initiative offered general medical consultations, treatments for various ailments, and health education sessions. Beneficiaries also received free medications and counseling on lifestyle improvements to prevent chronic conditions.

Over the cause of the program, hundreds of residents, including elderly individuals, women, and children, accessed essential healthcare services. Many expressed appreciation for the program, noting that it brought medical services directly to their doorsteps, overcoming barriers like cost and distance.

Senator Mustapha reaffirmed his commitment to improving access to healthcare for his constituents, emphasizing that the program reflects his dedication to enhancing the well-being of the people of Kwara Central. The outreach has been lauded as a success, with stakeholders praising the effort to bridge healthcare gaps in the region.
