New Year: 2026 Will Be More Prosperous for Us, Senator Mustapha Assures Constituents

The lawmaker representing Kwara Central in the National Assembly, Senator Saliu Mustapha has assured his constituents that 2026 will be a more prosperous year, with increased development projects, impactful legislation, and programmes aimed at improving the lives of people across the district.

The Senator, in his New Year message, thanked his constituents for their love, support and prayers throughout the year, which he said had remained his source of strength and inspiration.

He expressed his commitment to raising the bar of representation at the Senate through advocacy for policies and initiatives that address his constituents’ needs, improve social welfare, and promote sustainable development across Kwara Central.

Senator Mustapha, who chairs the Senate Committee on Agriculture, highlighted some of the gains of his representation in 2025, including the sponsorship of impactful bills and motions; the empowerment of over 3,500 constituents through the Alubarka Renewed Hope Empowerment 1.0; the facilitation of N100 million cash grants for constituents; the awarding of full university scholarships to 400 indigent students; and the facilitation of the N500 million solar-powered mini-grid at the Ilorin Central Mosque, among others.

He appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio, and Kwara State Governor Mallam Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq for providing inspiring leadership at different levels of government in 2025.

The lawmaker congratulated his constituents and all Nigerians on the arrival of the New Year. He wished them a prosperous and peaceful new year celebration.
