Distribution of Fertilizers and Farm Input Support to Farmers Across Kwara Central
In a renewed effort to enhance food sufficiency and empower local farmers, Senator Saliu Mustapha, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, commenced the distribution of 3,500 bags of fertilizers and essential farm inputs to farmers’ associations across Kwara Central Senatorial District.

The distribution event brought together beneficiaries from Ilorin East, Ilorin South, Ilorin West, and Asa local government areas. The initiative is part of the Senator’s continued drive to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and promote agricultural productivity across the district.

Benefiting groups include the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), Amana Farmers, Nigerian Women for Agricultural Progress, Nigerian Association of Women in Agriculture, and the Kwara State Chamber of Commerce (Agric Sector), among others.

Beneficiaries are encouraged to make effective use of the distributed inputs to increase yields and improve livelihoods, reaffirming his commitment to continuous agricultural support and development. The Senator also pledged to introduce additional initiatives to further strengthen food production and farmer welfare across the senatorial district.

Beneficiaries expressed deep appreciation for the gesture, describing it as another demonstration of Senator Mustapha’s consistent support for farmers and his practical approach to rural development. They noted that the intervention would help reduce production costs and expand local food output.

This Fertilizer and Farm Input Support Programme builds on Senator Mustapha’s broader agricultural empowerment agenda, reinforcing his mission to achieve a food-secure, self-sustaining, and economically vibrant Kwara Central.
