Advanced Poultry Farming Training Programme

As part of his commitment to promoting agribusiness and tackling unemployment, Senator Saliu Mustapha empowered 200 beneficiaries across Kwara Central Senatorial District with essential poultry tools, 200 day-old chicks, and bags of feed to launch their small-scale poultry businesses.

The initiative followed a comprehensive training programme on modern poultry farming techniques, equipping participants with the practical skills needed to build sustainable enterprises. The distribution event, held at the Senator’s Constituency Office in Ilorin, brought together beneficiaries from Ilorin East, Ilorin South, Ilorin West, and Asa local government areas.

The project forms part of the Senator’s broader strategy to boost food security, reduce unemployment, and encourage small-scale agribusiness within the district. Also the initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which focuses on revitalizing agriculture and promoting self-reliance among Nigerians.

Senator Mustapha reaffirmed his commitment to empowering more constituents through targeted, skill-based interventions, stressing that agriculture remains a key driver of economic growth and youth employment in Kwara Central.

Beneficiaries expressed their appreciation for the opportunity, describing it as both timely and life-changing, and pledged to apply the skills gained during the training to grow their poultry ventures sustainably.

This Poultry Empowerment Programme adds to Senator Mustapha’s expanding list of agriculture-driven development projects, reinforcing his vision for a self-reliant, food-secure, and economically vibrant Kwara Central.
