On Tuesday, 13th of June 2023, the 10th National Assembly was proclaimed and inaugurated. Mallam Saliu Mustapha and other lawmakers elect in the last general election were inaugurated at both the Red & Green chambers of the National Assembly.
Election for presiding officers was also held which produced Senator Godswill Akpabio as the Senate President and Senator Jibrin Barau emerged as the Deputy Senate President unopposed after his nomination was seconded by Saliu Mustapha representing Kwara Central.
Mallam Saliu Mustapha is the 8th Senator to represent Kwara Central Senatorial District after taking over from Dr. Yahaya Oloriegbe who represented the district in the 9th Assembly.
