Senator Mustapha commends Tinubu, AbdulRazaq over release of 38 Eruku church worshippers

The Senator representing Kwara Central in the National Assembly, Saliu Mustapha, has commended both the Federal Government and the Kwara State Government for their coordinated efforts that led to the suclssful release of the 38 Eruku church worshippers abducted by kidnappers.

In a statement issued through his media aide, Nasif Sholagberu, the lawmaker expressed profound joy upon receiving the news of the release, describing it as a major victory in the fight against terrorism and banditry.

He noted that the swift response and commitment shown by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu underscored the administration’s resolve to curb insecurity and protect the lives of citizens across the nation.

According to the Senator, the decisive intervention of President Tinubu’s security architecture, including the strategic involvement of the Office of the National Security Adviser clearly demonstrates that the current administration is leaving no stone unturned in dismantling terrorist networks and restoring public confidence.

Senator Mustapha also paid glowing tribute to the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for his relentless efforts, coordination with security agencies, and hands-on leadership which contributed immensely to the safe return of the worshippers.

He noted that the governor’s proactive measures and collaboration with federal authorities reflect a strong commitment to safeguarding lives and property in the state.

“ The combined efforts of President Tinubu and Governor AbdulRazaq prove that with political will, intelligence sharing, and community cooperation, insecurity can be effectively tackled,” the Senator added.

While hailing the gallantry and professionalism of the security agencies involved in the operation, Senator Mustapha called on citizens to remain vigilant and security conscious, urging them to always provide useful information to the authorities to aid security operations.

He emphasized that security is a collective responsibility, stressing that government efforts must be complemented by publileration.

Senator Mustapha further charged traditional rulers to intensify security monitoring within their domains and align with government initiatives aimed at protecting communities.

The Senator reaffirmed his support for all ongoing efforts at both federal and state levels to strengthen security infrastructure, promising continued legislative backing to improve intelligence gathering, security funding, and community policing initiatives.
